A glazed in louvre system consists of angled blades or panels—typically made from aluminium—mounted within a window or curtain wall frame. These blades are
designed to allow natural ventilation, rain defence, and visual screening, while blending seamlessly with surrounding glazing.
Unlike traditional louvres, glazed in louvres are engineered to sit in place of glass panes, offering a slim profile and clean architectural lines. Systems like the
DUCO series feature super-slim blades if required.
Key Features
- Slimline Design: Fits within standard glazing depths (e.g. 24mm–48mm), maintaining a flush appearance with adjacent glass.
- Weather Protection: Angled blades shed rain while allowing airflow—ideal for plant rooms, service areas, or naturally ventilated façades. These can
be supplied with fully sealed plenum boxes and insulation can also be offered.
- Custom Fabrication: Manufactured to suit specific opening sizes, blade angles, and performance requirements.
- Durable Construction: Made from extruded aluminium with integrated bird mesh screens and powder-coated finishes.
Applications
- Curtain walling and window systems
- Ventilated façades and service zones
- Plant room screening
- Architectural shading and privacy panels
